About Us

Bayco Design is owned and operated by John Darouian who has been in the field of architecture for over 40 years. John received graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Arizona and Oregon Architectural schools. He has participated in an array of professional practices, having extensive experience in design, presentation and documentation of residential and light commercial projects. Over a six year period, he directed the highly reputable Graphic and Presentation Department of Architectural Progress LTD. Following 20 years of working as a designer, project and construction manager in Portland, Tucson and the San Francisco East Bay area. He established Bayco Design in 1991. In addition to over 8 years experience as an adjunct professor, John taught Architectural Graphics and Presentation Drawings at University level. He is a certified AutoCAD trainer by Autodesk, having taught AutoCAD to both students and professionals, at Martinez AutoCAD Training Center in the Bay Area and Portland Community College. Being a small company allows for low overhead permitting us to provide high quality work at competitive prices. This accounts for the repeat business and loyal clients we have acquired over the years.
